Anissa Gray is an American author and journalist. She was born and raised in western Michigan and graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in journalism. After working as a reporter for several newspapers, including The Philadelphia Inquirer and the Chicago Tribune, Gray transitioned to television news, where she worked as a producer for CNN and as a reporter and anchor for local news stations in Atlanta.

In 2019, Gray published her debut novel, “The Care and Feeding of Ravenously Hungry Girls,” which tells the story of three sisters who must come to terms with their family’s secrets and their own personal struggles. The novel was a New York Times bestseller and was named one of the best books of the year by a number of publications, including The Washington Post and NPR.
